If for some reason the drive shaft comes off the car, the loop will catch it and not allow your car to be a lolipop on the road somewhere. For dragracing its a requirment after a certain speed.
@Man, gratz I hope you enjoy it. I'm totally happy with it.

There are a couple different choices out there and Shaftmasters makes a great DS. Their customer service and product were top notch. I have over 15K on mine with zero problems.
Thanks Shaftmasters

I forgot we did yours too!
In fact, yours was the first pinion flange replacement we did.

Can't remember the difference between the Eibach kits, but I have the FRPP springs which lowered the car 1.5 and I have not had any problems with rubbing whatsoever nor has there been any Pinion Angle issues.

Manny,
You will need the (6) 10mmX35mm hex bolts for the rear flange along with an 8MM Allen Wrench. There should have been a bag of 6 bolts in the package. If you really only received 5 let us know, we will get you another ASAP. You will need to use the "short side" of the allen wrench when installing the 4 bolts that are directly adjacent to the ujoint "ears".

Here is the one I went with; http://www.americanmuscle.com/compen...loop-0510.html
I looked I don't remember saying that the drive shaft loop reduces weight or changes the shifting, I looked and don't see where I said that if I did sorry. Not my meaning.
THE DRIVE SHAFT reduced weight and vibrations. Also knocked down noise.
Lots of happiness with the product.
