Ignorance question?? - Mods
Please exuse my ignorance...
OK. I had an '07 VB GT yada yada on order that will be delivered to the dealer 08-08. Of course I chose the PTP with Black/Dove and after seeing it did not match the order guide, decided to reorder with the KW interior (yah, it sucks ). The order is going to be placed tomorrow and I will likely have to wait until September to receive the car. In an effort to sooth my pains , I'm looking at the possibilty of having prepared for some mods...maybe even have the dealer install them. I know the cost will be up there, but once I pick that sucker up, I don't want to have to leave it anywhere plus may help with future warranty issues. So my questions and ideas...
For sure mods (dealer install):
- MUSTANG GT LOWERING SPRING KIT
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=8686
- Dark as is legal window tinting (65% light blocking a must here in Tucson, AZ)
- All weather floor mats (not really mod)
Possible mods:
- The CORSA Performance X-pipe with CORSA Performance axle-back
http://www.corsaperf.com/mustang.htm
This will fit the '07s? Comments?
- C&L CAI (Street)
http://www.cnlperformance.com/2005GT.html
OK for '07?
Purchase Predator tuner? Is this easy for non-mechanically inclined, no labtop, pointless if getting an install done by pros?
- CDC Shaker system
http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com...splay/634.html
'07 ready? Water resistant ability...what about rain (not that it ever rains in Tucson, but)? Cutting of a brand new hood? Comments?
Also, I will not be racing the vehicle and have somewhat limited funding. Your expertize, thoughts, comments, suggestions are appreciated. Great forums BTW!

Hey Todd...first of all I think most here go with the SCT2 tuner, myself included. Most purchase it in combination with an intake from either brenspeed.com or bamachips.com (where I purchased mine).
You really don't need a pro to install the intake and all you have to do with the tuner is plug it in and follow the steps it prompts you to do.
The shaker system has no problems with rain and cutting into a new hood isn't any different than an older one.

It's been almost a year since I cut a hole in my hood, and I've never regretted it.
