But shouldn't these things be engineered a bit better? It's disappointing that a product like Hurst has these issues.

 

I sent a pm to subzero05.

He mentioned that at some point, the shifter had been upgraded with a different bearing. He also mentioned that they (Hurst) should honor it as a warranty issue and would swap it out.

Keep us posted, and also what the time limit on returning the guts of the shifter for a new one might be. I think I've had mine for nearly 2 years.

 

The hurst shifter I got with the frpp drag pack was such a sloppy peice of shlt when I finally got it out and the mgw one in I torched the hurst one in half and beat the hell out of it with a hammer. (What can I say? I had a lot of pent up aggression towards that crappy excuse for a shifter)

 

Mine has been like that since new, i guess ill be calling hurst to find out what i can do

It's subzero05, and I don't think he can do much more than he already has.

 

if he knows someone with hurst then its a faster path to getting these warrantied, instead of getting jerked around for a month or two about it.....
