Idle problems

As the title says I have idle problems. About 50% of the time when I hit the clutch the rpms drop faster than normal and the idle goes down to about 300 rpms or less. It almost stalls. I have a clean air filter and a new fuel filter. I have a K&N air charger with SCT2 tune which has been fine for 2 years. I even set the idle to 850 rpms and it still bounces around. I made sure the hose on the k&n and the brake booster are connected correctly. I'm stumped.

Anyone have any ideas? Could it be the throttle body?

I'd look at the throttle body and see if it is clean. Do these cars have a regular ISC? Maybe it is dirty? If the TB is clean it should be too though.

Well, I cleaned the throttle body about a month ago. After using the search function I have seen that a few others have had this problem and it might be the throttle position sensor. Is the sensor easy to replace?

You should also check for a vacuum leak, I had one around my MAF and was experiencing similar issues to yours. Make sure all your connections are tight and secure.

If you want to try the TPS route, I have one I can sell you. They go for about $80 at the dealership. You can have my gently used one for $35 plus shipping. It happens to be up on eBay right now, seller name is tdbrown75.

I was having problems with my A/F ratio being lean and Steeda determined that I had a bad throttle body and replaced it. Prior to that I had started having idle problems like you describe and when they replaced my throttle body it also cured the idle problems ...

Have your tuner check the dashpot, isc/idle settings.

Agreed. Also make sure your MAF sensor is clean.

Well, I just got home and the engine when into failsafe and I got an engine light. I used my SCT to read the codes and they are:

P2106 Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power
P2132 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "F" Circuit Low Input

I would assume that I need to order a new throttle position sensor. Are they easy to install?

Super easy, two screws! I dropped my eBay listing to $20 for the sensor if you want it (Item number: 290245794436), I paid nearly $80 for it when I thought mine was going bad. In my case it ended up being a vacuum leak, but I did not throw codes like you have.
