Thumbs down

Okay, I'm going to order my car's very first SCT XCaliberator tune on Friday. I was talking to the guy on the phone and we were going through what I need to tell him, etc.

He told me I need the car's box #, and that it was a 3 digit number on the passenger side of the car. I asked him if it was on the door jam, he said yeah. So I get off the phone with him and lo and behold - nothing's on the passenger side door jam! I check the sticker's on the driver's side door and there's plenty of numbers and codes, but I have no idea which one is the "box" # or if it's even on the driver's side stickers. Can someone PLEASE help me out with finding my car's box # so I can get my car tuned??

Thanks to anyone who can help!

You need your computer number for the xcalibrator. It can be found behind your fuse box on the passenger side kick panel on the floor. Should be a 5 or 6 digit number starting with a letter and ending with one. You will see it in plan sight above the fuse panel. Cheers!

Your computer number should also be stickered on the computer itself in the engine bay, it is usually a combination of letters and numbers like CDC2 or CDC3. Be careful though, if you have taken your car in for service/recall/updates they may have reflashed your computer with a whole new part number or code if they checked their TSBs and found it needed to be updated. My car has the CDC2 original batch files from Ford and had to be changed due to CELs that were coming on after SCT tunes.

Okay, stupid question.. where's the fuse boxz? Which side on the passenger side? The side close to the center console or the side closer to the passenger door?

Charlie, all you need to do is pop the hood. Look down at your rad. Now look to the left. You will see a black box with a white sticker on it. The sticker will read CDC2 or CDC3. That is the code you need. Don't go tearing your car apart. I have the SCT installed, you will love it.

I am not sure if that is the number he needs. And its not "tearing the car apart" its taking off the kick panel to the fuse box on the passengers side floor. It's MADE to be taken off...
