I installed manual exhaust cutouts today
These sound excellent... very loud
Before....
Soaking those H-Pipe clamps...
Past the point of no return, driver side pipe split in twain (to get the clearance for this I had to switch to jackstands on the frame to unload the suspension. Even then I had to make the first cut in-place and wiggle the rest out.
Dry fit..
What I was talking about before... the passenger side was longer the way I cut it, so i had to make the furthermost cut in place.
Installed! Ground clearance is for suckers!
This was a lot of fun and well worth the $50 it cost. Now if you'll excuse me I've been outside with no food all day. I need some beer and a burger

Are there any leaks at the end of the cutout? also, you may want to pick up some band clamps: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=WLK%2D33240&N=700 +115&autoview=sku
and put them in place of the u-clamps. the u-clamps tend to bend pipes and dont give that great of a seal, even with alot of slicone around them. The band clamps work great though, I can attest to that!
Lets see some clips !!!!

and Why do you do this again?

Why not run these mufflers instead?

Granted it is more expensive than $50 but is a lot cleaner of an install and don't look illegal if the cops pull you over for excessive noise. I used to be a dealer of these back in the 90's and have them on my 1969 Mustang. They tend to drone at wide open but then what doesn't at that point. When fully closed they are very quiet. You adjust the muffler to the sound level you like and you're golden!

Glad you like them... I know I love mine! But it looks like you'll need to watch out for speed bumps!
BTW, if anyone else wants to do something similar, I have a brand new set of cutout pipes (still in the original box) that I never used that I'll sell. I got them from Jegs, http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_744747_-1.
PM me if interested.

I'm going to put some insulation down so I can angle them up higher. I'm looking at some of this stuff to keep things nice and protected. I'm also getting some band clamps, the u clamps suck. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=THE%2D13585
