I am switching to Mobil 1 this weekend and was wondering @ what intervals you guy's do your oil changes.

I have mobil 1 synthetic in my car, and change about every 4-5k. I did my first oil change at 1k, then 5k, 9k, switched to full synth at 11k, and about to do my next oil change at 15k.

 

Every 5K. I've run M1 in my truck since the first oil change. 93K miles and no problems at all. Haven't changed the stang over yet.

 

I know it's overkill on my part but I still change every 3000 miles.

 

Like Scott said, it's probably overkill, but I'd stick with the recommended mileage intervals.

For me, it's once a year regardless of mileage. My next change will be this December.

 

5K miles

 

5-6K assuming full synthetic, daily driver, about 17-18K miles/year

 

How about months?

 

I pamper mine as well, every 3,000

 

I change the synth blend factory oil every 3.5-4k, if its pure synth every 5-6k.

 

Well I take the full advantage of what synthetic oil offers, my stang and all my vehicles get oil changed at 12k or 12 month intervals, which ever comes first. Top off as necessary. I also change the Mobil 1 extended service oil filter out at 4 k intervals.

Two of my vehicles have over 100k on them now and no signs of distress or excessive oil consumption.

If you are into 3k interval changes, might as well save some money and use as good grade mineral oil.

 

Once a year or 2000 miles...whichever comes first. I only drive it on sunny summer days.

 

I do what the Manual says Oil and Filter Every 5k

Every 4000 myself.

 

Every 17,000 miles using Amsoil 2000 series oil.

 

I average 4,500-5000 miles here. Keep in mind I have a local supplier who provides all the M1 and filters I'll ever need.

 

Annual or 15K, whichever comes first.

 

8 to 10 other wise your wasteing your cash mobil one has been tested to still be in pretty good shape at 18k miles so 8 to 10 k is very safe mileage for syn oil

 

i change my synthetic every 4-5000 miles +filter of course..this schedule should do u..

 

4-5K??? Crap... I have been ripping myself off changing it every 3000 miles!!!!
