Read much? Look above, IMO you don't need to cover either one, just don't spray water directly up/on your filter and you'll be fine

lol. that reminds me of the time someone stole my originial air filter cover off my 69 Chevelle and I needed to go to work and put a peice of foil on top and it sucked it right in
