So now I am scared to put 4.10's on my car after hearing some people are having trouble with increased noise/roughness. Just wanted to figure out exactly how many people are having problems and how many arent'.

 

No problems for me at all... FRPP 4.10s.

 

Even though my 4.10's currently whine, I still highly recommend this mod. I feel that my installer ( yes, very reputable ) will make it right when I get the chance to take it back to him.

The gears really keep this motor in the sweet spot, where as before, it felt sluggish in the lower revs.

Now, it rips.

BTW, mine are Precision Gear 4.10's, but IMO, the problems aren't brand related.

there is some whine back there, but it wasn there when i had them installed...and i think it could be due to how aggressively i drive the car

 

I'll let you know in 2 weeks. Having FRPP 4.10's installed, and hopefully they won't be any louder than stock.
