How do you run a wire to the engine area from the passenger area

Where is the honey hole to run my O2 wire and my shift light wire? I have them run now to the passenger area fuse box to use the add a circuit.

Thanks

Also, where do you find the add a circuit for the new ford fuse boxes?

if you look under the dash, you will see a rubber grommet that has the antenna (orange) cable going through..

you can fish the wires there and they will come out under the fender (behind the fender liner, which you will need to remove to fish the wires out neatly)

then you can either get the wires out from behind the battery, or near the PCM.

If you cut away a little bit of insulation, you'll find a nice factory grommet:

Thanks, good idea.

I am going to add a circuit to the fuse box. What size fuse should I use and can I piggy back them on the same circuit?

Who sells the add a circuit to the new ford fuse boxes?

I used 16 gauge wire to extend the O2 wire (did not solder it to the purple wire). The autometer tech (great guy responded to all my emails) said that it was overkill, that a smaller gauge wire might be better. I was always told in basic electronics, the bigger the gauge, the less resistance encountered. And the O2 sensor is getting voltage back to the gauge from the PCM. I may go back and solder it to get a better connection.

Any thoughts out there!

If you look closely at the first pic that Tom posted, you can see a large rubber grommet on the very right hand side of the picture, partially covered by the passenger side panel.

This grommet has an extra nipple on it that can be used to easily pass wiring out. You just have to take a knife or pair of scissors and cut the tip off the nipple (it will be in the inner wheel well behind the liner) and you can easily get a 1/2" diameter cable through it if you wanted.
