How about a rollbar w/out messing up the interior
I was responding to another post and it occurred to me, why not have a two point roll bar (like the 68 Shelby). Could it not mount to the rear seat bolts, but rest on the frame. This is not a 4 or 6 point roll bar for drag racing, but more for the use for autocrossing or adding a performance bling and/or mounting points for a 4 point seat belt harness.
Ideas?

What's the purpose? It won't make the car tech inspection legal.

No not for drag racing, but it would give you a mount for the 4 seatbelt harness. Honestly it would be more for looks and or bling. If we could make a 4 point that would work, that would be better....but how with out destroying the interior of the car. Work with me here, brainstorming.

It would definately serve as a mounting point for a harness thus making it a little easier to stay in the stock seats while autocrossing, etc. In my opinion once you put a 6 point in a car it is no longer a true street car as it renders the backseat useless and hinders entering/exiting the car.

You can have any kind of roll bar you like welded up. Myself, I would not waste the time or money unless you were installing something functional and aesthetically pleasing that would also pass tech inspection.

I am going to visit my custom hot rod shop soon to discuss a 6 point for my vert. I believe that most of the 4 point can be conceiled behind the panels in the rear and could be made to look similar to a CDC lightbar. The front 2 points and the cross bar behind the seats will be removeable. Not a huge concern of mine to keep the rear seat available.

When I had mine done we decided no pin outs because the vert needed the rigidity of all six points being welded.
