I scared the living heck out of one woman walking on the sidewalk when I drove down a sidestreet, she jumped into somebody's side yard and almost looked comical. The look on her face with of pure terror! :P

That's ridiculous. Is this why people put loud pipes on there car? To scare people. Then laugh about it and think it's funny.

What a party pooper...

You don't run open headers just to scare people... it's also to set off car alarms, drive through parking garages and under tunnels, through underpasses, etc.

LOUD is good!!

New topic posted with the video clip but it will take a few minutes to DL it. It should be worth it though.

Im using the stock H-Pipe right now and plan to continue to use it. I still have to get the rear O2 sensor ports plugged so I dont get that aweful leak sound when I put my foot into the pedal.

I think these Hooker LTs and SLP LMs would benefit from an X-Pipe in the sound department but I dont yet know if I want to go that route just yet.

Also, Im dropping the car off for a 4 wheel alignment tomorrow afternoon and Im going to have the guys also make sure the entire exhaust system is properly aligned and free of leaks.

The next project is header maintainance, if the gaskets arent sealing properly I'll have to get a new pair and I'll throw in some locking header bolts while Im at it.

I'll update you all again when I have a chance.

so wait... you have the stock cats in place still? I guess, I misread and thought you got LT headers..... in which case i didnt see how the stock H would fit.

No, they are Long Tubes, I even used the "LTs" in my post. The cats are lost, not to be installed again for about 5 years.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the info you have provided. I think I remember reading somewhere that the JBA LT's won't work with the factory motor mounts. How is the clearance with the Hookers? Anything closer than you would like? Thanks again.

The clearance is of absolutely no consequence, there is plenty of room for the motor to kick over and not hit anything. I have to jack up the car again in the morning to push the H-Pipe further onto the collector so I'll try to get those pics to you all.

The Hookers arrived at my door for about $625.

Also, the balck half or the SLP Loudmouths have been pulled since they just create way too much resonation now. Im just running the front half straight pipe right now and its now "tolerable" again.

Im thinking about pushing some turn downs on both rear pipes so I can hear what it does to the tone.

The car is also finally being put up on a rack tomorrow morning so the hangers can be rewelded or bent correctly as to not rub the transmission crossmember.
