The highest HP TS 3V in the country...

Heres the breakdown..

Adam at ST Motorsports has been working with Jim and Ken over at KB ,running alot of tests over the past few weeks and this kit will not disappoint!Jim has built one HELLUVA BLOWER!!!! Heres the stats on the car

704 hp 741tq Tuned with Diablo CMR w/MaFia

Basically its a stock GT with a forged short block...mods as follows
NEW KB 2.6 H/O kit
cobra forged short block with stock compression
Accufab t-body (60mm) ...new one being built for future testing
custom 112mm mass air meter
60lb injectors
255 walbro blower specific
clutch master stage 4 clutch
THATS IT.
The heads are stock 3 v heads,stock cams,stock exhaust manifolds,full exhaust to rear bumper,etc...

Saleen and whipple are'nt in this ballpark with equal mods. The one downside to the new H/O system is you have to run a minimum 15 psi and can go no bigger than a 3" pulley. Anything under 15 psi and the car runs like crap so it is not for a stock shortblock. However, adam is selling complete rebuild blower packages for 14-15K installed and tuned so for less than 50K total (including the car) you can have a 700+ HP street killer.

In case you're wondering, the dyno was done @22 psi with 24ยบ of timing with sonoco 116. The car starved out at 5800 rpms cause it's only got a single walbro and BAP!! That's it. A simple matter of twin GT Supercar pumps or GT500 pumps and it will go even further easily.

Enjoy...more to come soon

I wonder what other supercharged boost applications would produce on the same engine, with the same ammount of boost poundage? You mentioned other brands weren't even in the same ball park with the same mods? Is this just a guess, or have you tried and failed other brands?

Not trying to sound like a butt, I'm just curious, as there seem to be alot of supercharge options out there.

Either way, great numbers! Congrats! Will it see a 1/4 mile track sometime soon?

Hey Error, just curious, where in L.A. are you? I live in El Sereno, just outside of South Pasadena.

BTW, that's a beautiful black Stang you got there

The way this kit is setup you can't run low boost or stock internals. It needs the boosts (2.6L blower for ya) to run properly like he said. Sounds very awesome though for the price. I'll have to keep this in mind when I go for my big number motor rebuild. I'd like to see what it can do at the limit of pump gas. 18-20psi maybe?

The only other s/c kit out there that pushes these kinds of numbers (actually more) at the boost levels is the F1 procharger.

IMO the F1 is the biggest bang s/c avcailable for the S197. It's what is in the livernois car making 770 rwhp at 20 psi. The downside is you won't see the torque as seen in the TS at those boost levels unless you have a C4 or AOD.

The saleen is capable but runs into overheating problems at 16 psi+. The whipple H/O is still being tested so who knows. The vortech and paxton won't keep a belt or tensioner on after 16 psi. So for the bang, this kit seems pretty good. But as pointed out, you definitely need forged internals for this kit.

The main difference between the 2.6l and 2.6 H/O are the discharge ports in the case. The discharge port on the 2.6 H/O is smaller resulting in more internal compression in the case and less parasytic loss at the higher boost levels. The internal compression ratio in the 2.6l standard is 1.4 internal comp.ratio, where the 2.6 H/O is 2.0 internal comp.ratio. Because of the internal compression differences the 2.6l standard kit will run 8lb boost levels efficiently for street cars. The 2.6 H/O is more for competition and needs to be run at 15lbs boost because of the compression ratio. Upgrades to the engine for this amount of boost should be considered to maintain reliability as well as better fuels for protection from detonation.

We found the pump gas limit to be about 16-17 psi with conservative timing. Realistically you can get a reliable 550-580 rwhp on pump gas. I'm sure you could push it more but that's a pretty conservative and safe estimate.

Man, If I hadn't blown my blower/engine funds on an engagement ring last week, I'd prolly be all over this.

I'm in Westwood, near UCLA (though I live here for work, not college).

Thanks! The exterior and interior is all stock! It might ride a bit high, but overall I like what ford did with it

Awesome numbers, but not the highest 3V in the U.S. The boys at Livernois were slightly higher, I think 770 RWHP if I remember correctly. They did it with the aforementioned F1.
Myself, I would rather have the KB. That is a sweet looking setup.

Edit: I wonder what a good port job on those heads would do to the H.P.?

It's just an overlay. They are not carbon fiber.

Not to hate on the livernoise car but don't they have heads/port/balance/polish on their car? Couldn't that be making up for the difference in the HP numbers? They also have a full exhaust setup. Just a thought.
