High flows vs o/r pipes

Hey guys! I'm planning on starting mods to my 2006 gt and I have considered going with long tube headers and an off road x pipe. I already have borla stingers.

Heres what I have questions about this though:
How loud will this be? I don't necessarily have a problem with very loud but I also don't want the drone noise everyone talks about. I had that on my old mustang with Mac exhaust. And my other concern is that the stingers are already where I can hear them but I still want to be able to talk with someone in the car.
What are high flow cats and how do they compare with an off road pipe?
And I keep hearing about prochambers... What are those?

Much appreciated!

I can't speak to the X pipe or Stingers, but my car is pretty loud with long tubes, no cats, H-pipe and cat backs (full JBA setup). I took the mufflers off after installing the long tubes just for grins and it was LOUD!

Is it ever enough that you don't like it?

Maybe just a little louder, but not as loud as without mufflers. Once I get cams, it will good enough lol

Yep. Had Hooker long tube ceramics, but one sprung a leak at the collector. Running JBA full length titanium ceramics now. Wasn't as bad doing them a second time, I knew what to expect.

I know they don't put out the most hp, but the fit and finish is awesome. The Hooker's bottomed out on some speed bumps with my car at stock height.

How do the jbas do with ride height? And they were actually the ones I was thinking about getting!

The JBA's fit inside the underbody with no loss of ride height. I bought the headers on special with the H-pipe from stage3motorsports.com with the 5% off coupon. Total to my door was $959 (November 2010)

If you get these, don't forget to buy some oxygen sensor extensions, you'll need them for the rear two.
