That's what i was talking about up above. Slide the clamps all the way to the end and if the nub sticks up past the pipe grind it down a bit.

OK so here's the scoop, we removed the passenger side muffler completely and started over. The mid-pipe was perfectly (as far the eye can see) round and the muffler side was too so no problem there. We loosened the mid-pipe at the "H" and then mounted up the muffler again. We adjusted and tightened the muffler clamp in position then tightened the "H" connection again. Now the clamp still had a small gap, in other words there was still some play so we abandoned the torque wrench and kept tightening the clamp until it was as far as it would go.

Everything seemed fairly tight at this point so we fired it up. Major leaking on the passenger side and some leaking on the drivers side which looked and felt tight. So we crawled back under and installed a regular "U" shaped muffler clamp (on each side) at the end of the muffler/mid-pipe connection - basically over the nub/notch. We tightened and tested for leaks several times until all leaks were gone.

I will say this, I had looked at a post on another forum:
http://www.mustangforums.com/archive...2343043-1.html

Adding the second clamp may have reduced the drone somewhat but not very much at all. Having said that, it is great not hearing the rattle of the loose clamp or worrying about the leaking fumes and the sound is fanatastic and I love that decel burble.

Thanks everyone.
