The bigger alternator pulley will slow down the alternator even more. My setup works just fine, thank you.

If I put 4.10 gears in with M/T tires, am I going to kill my posi? Should I be proactive and put in an Eaton carrier? George didn't you have to replace yours? I don't know anything about these, I just saw you guys talking about it in an old thread Mike started.
Would line locks prevent me from breaking my stock one?

I didn't break my differential, I wore out the clutch packs.
The first thing you need to do is look at your future goals. Do you want to run 10's, 11's 12's. The quicker you want to run the more dough you'll spend.
If I were you I would just start out with the Line Locks. They will take a lot of stress off the clutch packs when doing burnouts.
If you have any problems down the road you can always replace the clutch packs, and add another clutch disc to each side.
I chose to go with an Eaton, main studs, and a girdle, because I knew I was going to be very hard on it.

alright thanks, I'll just get the line locks. I don't see myself going faster than 12.7. The line locks are a good idea anyway.
I'm going to call SLP performance on Monday and see if they plan on making a line lock kit for the 05 like they have for the 99-04. If not I'll get some solenoids and I'll wire and bend the tubing myself (double flare, yes). I may at some point be bugging you to tell me what fittings I need for it. I've never touched the brakes on a car before so it will be a learning experience.
You don't have the Ford service manual DVD by any chance do you? If not I'll buy it and make copies for us NED guys.

Everytime I've contacted SLP, they've told me they have no plans for an 05 kit.

So what's illegal about it, the solenoids themselves or the just the fittings? If you put good fittings on it they would be good to go?

I looked at the pictures of the B&M solenoids. He's got aluminum compression fittings on the solenoids which are ILLEGAL
