help a man in need for more speed!
hey guys!
ok, i'm a little confused, there's a lot of diffrent after market companys to choose from & want to make sure i make the best choice!
decided to go ahead & do the programmer & CAI intake upgrade next..
but which one?
and the best supplyer?
also, is there a power increase worthy of spending around the $700-800 range? i plan to do a cam swap this winter.. so every little bit of input yall can give would be greatly apreaciated!
thanks guys!

this subject has been beaten to death. however, i was in your shoes once so i'm happy to help. i went with the jlt2 intake from Doug at Bamachips. look him up through this website or google. he's easy to find. he's also the best in the buis imo. as far as the worth of the intake and tune, yea, it is. it's not just about horsepower. the tuner remaps the throttle response completely, not to mention the heavily improved shift timing and feel. the horsepower is really just a plus. also i see you're considering a cam swap. talk to doug when you decide which cams you want and he'll email you a new compatible tune. really you can't go wrong with this stuff, which is why a tune and intake are pretty much the default mod.
good luck.
good luck.

cams are netting 20-30 HP tops. You don't really need cams at all in any forced induction application
Yes, I would be very dissapointed when i stepped on the gas and paid 2000 to have cams installed.
2K to change the way a car idles is really a waste of dough.
Put that 2000 towards forced induction, money well spent.

first of all cams do not cost 2,000 dollars and secondly it doesn't just change the idle. There are different stages of cams with higher idle yielding more hp. Yes they do reach up to 40 hp depending on the cam.

How much are they then? You need to include good, experienced, reliable labor since most people aren't going to be disassembling their heads anytime soon. $600 for the parts and what...$4-800 in labor?
