So she is running then I was worried about valve issues if it were out of time. So the question is. Is it like a POS Honda that will bend valves when timing is off that much or is there no chance of valve piston contact?

Just put it this way, I was very lucky that it was out 180 degrees and not 45 or 60 degrees. then I think I'd be doing a valve job.or pistons! The reason the guy thought he had it right,is because he turned the engine by hand on the crank. and no valve was hitting, but it was fireing on the wrong stroke. the RH side was in time perfect, but the LH side was out 180 degrees. When doing the timing on these mod motors, you have to line up the l mark on the RH bank and line up the L mark with the arrow on it on the LH side.My suggestion is useing the Timing PDF file ,it shows the correct diagram of how it should look like. You'll still have to use the cams/ valve springs installation PDF file also, but the timing PDF file is very helpfull. The cams/valve springs PDF file diagram of the timing marks are not straight foward. If it showed the right diagram ,I wouldn't have had the LH side out by 180 degrees.

I won't know till after Doug does the Dyno fine tune.I've got to be easy with it till then, before the ARH LT's,cams and GT500 fuel pumps install it Dynoed @ 455 rwhp. I want to keep it at a safe tune till after the bottom end is forged this winter.I can tell it is deffinately stronger.and the sound is! WOW! I promiss I'll get the video up in a little while.
