Hey guys,

just a quick question I need to get answered asap, as I have the predator at home but cannot use it with the standard tune, as I've just installed my aFe Cold Air Intake:

- Who can help me out with that bloody tune?
- If someone has it, can you please send it to me via email?

My dealer in Miami, FL has not been sending the tune to me for some weeks, even though I have been on in him since and tried to make myself clear how important this is for me!

But who gives a cares, I live in Euope anyway, huh? :bang:

I'd appreciate any help from my Stang-Mates in overseas!

Thanks, Ralph :worship:

I don't know many people using the Predator on these boards anymore, most have gone with the SCT tuners. I still use the Predator and recommend Brent over at DTPracing.com. I'm very happy with the tunes I have gotten from him. You can email him at brenth@dtpracing.hrcoxmail.com. Good luck!

Many thanks!

By the way, why is everyone now using the SCT devices?

Anything wrong with the Predator?

Most people going with the SCT because the dealers offer more support. Also hear Diablosport doesn't offer dealers much support. All I know is, my car definately picked up seat of the pants with Brent's tunes, and that's all that matters to me.

You are OK with the Predator if your car is a manual shift. If it is an automatic the SCT X-2 works better with a tune from one of the Big Three Tuners here in the US.

Mine is a manual!

I've heard some problems with chaps using the predator and automatic transmission. Shift points are getting screwed up.

Do you think there would be issues if I'd just use the normal setup with the predator (as-is) to tune the car with the aFe intake? Would I possibly damage the motor?

The AFE intake is designed to work with stock programming. You don't need a custom tune for it at all. You'll be fine running the Predator tune with it.

I run my K&N intake with the pre-loaded predator tunes and there's no problem. When I get all my mods done I'll get it custom tuned one of these days.

Good luck! I have the Predator, and had a helluva time when I got my custom tune. Nothing wrong with the device, but my tuner mentioned the same issues getting help from Diablo. Shame.

How are you enjoying that thing in Switzerland? I can't imagine the fun you're having. I think if I won the lotto, I'd haul mine back home to Scotland and take a road trip (in the summer!).

That sounds actually VERY positive

Just looked outside the window. Guess what? Snow... Not much but too much to take her for a spin. :bang:

Still will tune her and see if the sound changes...

Will post my experience later.

Thanks, Ralph
