you need to be a little more clear about your shifting problems, I don't understand what you mean by a brick wall. If you're not engaging into 3rd properly, then maybe a real shifter is the way to go.

I've only tried the Steeda Tri-Ax and it shifts like a dream. When it's in second and you want third, you just push the stick forward and it goes right into third automatically.

If you want traction, get some better tires.

I just cant help myself...

That isnt much power, dont try to put the blame on that cause it doesnt make sense.

I vote that you need more shifting experience with your car regardless of how old you are or how many years you claim to be drag racing. If you really had all that experience you could probably answer to your own issues.

Oh, and please, check your grammar, insert a few commas here and there and produce a literate sentence or two. It will be much easier to read through than the above muck.

No understand what you saying, maybe problem is you hit brick wall 9.215 seconds into the run or maybe transmission didn't bring 3rd gear and that's problem you can't shift with Saleen short shifter?

I don't know, a little help with this, is not very clear as to what the issue is.

Why don't you give this guy a break? You're probably assuming laziness is the reason for no punctuation, when he may in fact be illiterate. BTW - your lack of apostrophe's makes your post very difficult to understand.

I'd search here on the Saleen Short Shift adapter. That could be the problem. I had trouble shifting it into third so I took it off.

Then I kept reading a couple of the threads on it, figured I'd give it another shot two weeks ago and take my time installing it. Love it now and no problems with third. There are a couple of different versions of the instructions floating out there and one of the versions is known to instruct you to put it in completely backwards.

If your block is off just by a few millimeters or in completely backwards, it will make shifting a pain in the behind.

Sorry about the grammar had to many drinks that nite.It seen like the clutch is not releasing under high torque when you try to speed shift in to 3rd gear.Saleen shifter works great on the street .The rev limiter is 7 grand that mite be the problem.

All of our cars have the same "high torque" as you (in some cases even more) and we don't have this problem.

If your clutch isn't releasing that is a different problem, either it is toast or its something else. My bet would be that the Saleen shifter you have is poo, and has trouble moving when you really beat on it. It isn't a real shifter, it's just an "adapter" that goes on the stock shifter. Get a real shifter like a Steeda Tri-Ax.
