Help!!
My 05 GT through the code P0172, which I looked up and it said "Too Rich". I have been running a C&L intake w/ one of Doug's tunes for awhile now, so can somebody tell why this is happening now?

Clear the code and if it comes back again ? that means your running too rich and will have to go into the end user adjustabilty menu of you're X-CAL II and lean the fuel mixture out..But call Doug first before you make any adjustments

I agree kind of. Definitely clear the code and see if it comes back. I am not sure I would make adjustments without consulting Doug first. Simply because you would be making the change without any info. JMHO. Leaning any mixture without the proper knowledge is just playing with fire. Rich won't hurt anything.

It's not in the tune. The tune itself is a file with fixed parameters and tables. The values don't change with time so if you have not seen this code from running the engine for a time, the problem must be mechanical. It definitely is not in the software.
A sticking, leaking or lazy injector could cause this. If you clear the codes and it returns, I'd try either an over-the-counter injector cleaner (okay) or take it to a shop and have the fuel system flushed and cleaned. Also, have you ever replaced the fuel filter?

If you are correct... I'd take it to the dealer as it is still under warranty.

Oh my all means if it's still covered, let the dealership take a whack...
FYI, the SES code for rich and lean are set when the long term fuel trim value exceeds the minimum/maximum for a specified time. At this point, the PCM cannot compensate for the rich/lean condition and sets the code. Unless you installed larger injectors and didn't reflash, the problem should be found where I specified.....

THANKS guys for all the help. I have deleted the code and will drive it later tonight to see if it trips again. And I am currently running the same injectors that came stock with the car. Again thanks for the help and either way be posting what happpens after I take it for a spin.
