Helix Power TSB
Helix Power TBS
Anyone have any hands-on experience (good or bad) with this Helix Power TBS? Claims +22HP, +4mpg, +25torque (I know.. here we go again with what octane, what settings on the dyno, etc.. but man, if I could squeeze out a few extra HP and get increased MPG, I'm all in.) So, does this thing REALLY work? Also, can an aftermarket CAI (C&L, JLT, Ti) fit properly with this spacer on? Just wondering if this is just another smoke-n-mirror act... Thanks.

They're claim of up to 22hp and 25 tq was probably a supercharged, nitrous fed car or something. On my 01 a throttle body spacer is worth 2-3hp max.
I may be way off but Id be shocked if you saw more than 5hp on a NA car. Carb spacers have been around for years so its not a new thing.

Did you see the More Info button? It was tested on a Chevy truck... not a Mustang. Yeah this is like the bad old days when header manufactures would show these huge gains with their headers. They always would go find some Chevy 350 that had like an 1 7/8” exhaust manifold on one side and a 2” on the other (believe it or not I saw a lot of 350’s with this same manifold setup back in the 70’s when I worked at my dad’s auto repair shop). Then they drop their headers on it along with a 2 ¼” dual exhaust and show these great gains. Meanwhile, my 351 Cleveland had 2 ¼” exhaust manifolds on it to start with so the gain was quite a bit smaller. They never would show a Ford in their ads.
