Question Headers / XPipe / Mufflers

All 3 are on the list to get but trying to figure out the order of purchase. I dont have enough $$ to get all 3 at once but would like to start the trend.

So, what would be the obvious choice to get first. I am thinking headers and x-pipe since that is probably where the bottleneck is already.

Any thoughts?

Also, whats up with Ford raising the price of thier axlebacks? They used to be 350ish in the catalog now its 570ish

Watching a TMS member whine about the price of an aluminum box:
priceless.

There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's beer goggles.

Best thing to do is to start from the back and work your way to the engine

The biggest restriction is in the H-pipe. I don't think there is a whole lot of power to be had over the stock system unless you're talking longtubes and off-road type exhaust maybe. I would look elsewhere for power unless you just don't like the way it sounds stock. But I would start with the H-pipe first - get a high-flow catalytic system. Or if you want longtubes, commit to them early so you don't re-buy parts. Good luck.
