Howdy,

Anyone have SLP Loudmouths installed with an Xpipe and long tube headers? I have the SLP's and I liked them so much that i want to upgrade my whole exhast from the headers back now. The only problem is I dont know jack about it and I dont want to order some parts and then have them not fit or need custom work to be installed. Any wisdom would be appreciated,

Also, if anyone knows off the top of their head, how much of a gain would I be looking at by going with the long headers instead of the shorts? Right now emissions is not a concern but I am in the army and I move alot so I could one day end up somewhere that requires smog tests.

Thanks!

I've seen from 0 to 10 for shorties, 10 to 20 for long tubes (LT). I would guess about 10-15 more with LTs. JBAs LTs with JBA cats made more 18rwhp at SHM and 26 at the JBA website. Those are the best numbers I've seen so far.

I think Ill just go with the long tubes and then change them out with the stock pipes if I ever have to get emmisions tested. After trolling around quite a few threads on numerous boards Im getting the idea of keep the stock midpipe and go long tubes with the slp's, hopefully it isnt earpeircing just the slp's are LOUD.
