Thumbs up

My next mod will be ripping off the stock headers and slapping on a good pair of Ford Racing Shorty Headers. My question to those who have done shorty headers is, is the installation easy or is it a PITA. I called a local shop here in south jersey, recommended by a buddy of mine who's getting his 95 GT some work done to it and this place is a BIG Mustang garage. called "Kaspers Korner" in Turnersville, NJ. Called them and they said they would install my headers for $250. Never paid for an exhaust job before but I was wondering if that was a good price. So if the headers are a PITA, is $250 good to pay? And if they are easy to install, how long did it take to install?

ok 6 hours to install, I assume they were a PITA, so to answer my next question, is $250 a good price to pay to have them installed?

I guess that's up to you. Even though it was real PITA, for me the whole idea behind installing mods is doing it myself. I enjoyed the PITA - if that makes sense. The only mod I have not installed myself was my 4.10 gears.

well i was gonna see if a buddy of mine would help me with them since he is also a Mustang guy. Where the headers easy to slide out? Did you have to slide them out from the bottom, did you have to remove andy motor bolts or lift the motor a few inches to get them out?

From the bottom. Did not loosen any motor mount bolts. Just followed the instructions.
