I have a $100 gift certificate towards Steeda stuff. Which item(s) will give me the most noticeable difference in handling?? I already have eibach pro kit springs. When i called steeda the guy told me their adjustable panhard bar was not all that necessary at first, and that ford actually offsets the rear tires to one side, not the springs. He also said that new dampners where not necessary yet. He said the rear sway bar with the heavy duty endlinks would be his recommendation. Its like $350 for both. I was also considering just getting the heavy duty endlinks to go along with the stocks swaybar [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif[/img] for $200. Which items would you choose for say, under $500 preferably under the $350. Thanks

We don't know what you're using your car for.


WARNING Steeda suspension mods are like crack cocaine. Once you start it's very difficult to stop.

Do you want the suspension to be set up for better handling or better acceleration?
For better handling I'd go with the swaybars first.
I did both the front and rear at the same time but the rear swaybar is the one which requires the most attention.
Don't waste your money for the endlinks for the factory swaybar.
The Steeda swaybar is a huge improvement over the factory unit.

For acceleration I'd do the third link and the lower control arms first.

What is the third link? and what leads to better acceleration when upgrading the control arms and the third link (less weight?) ? thanks---- [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif[/img]

The third link is also called the upper control arm. It along with the lower control arms will eliminate wheel hop and allow you to adjust your pinion angle if you are using lowering springs.
This is due to the use of urethane bushings in place of the factory rubbber and hydra-mount ones.
The lower conrol arms also reduce weight.

There are companies making cheaper lower control arms than the Steeda ones but I personally can't tell you how good they are.

Thank you for the replies. To answer some questions, I only have the springs as my suspension mods. I would prefer to keep the mods more aimed at handling, but I was thinking about the underdrive pulleys too. Do any of you guys with pulleys have any adverse effects with regard to charging/cooling etc.? Also, would you guys agree with the guy at steeda that the sway bar would be my best bet for a noticable handling improvement?

I have practically every Steeda suspension component possible on my car and the Swaybars change the car completely. The car is much more neutral or shall we say much closer to oversteer than it was before.
