Has Anyone cut the bumper to fit GT500 Lip, instead of triming the lip

Isn't that like cutting off your toes so you can wear a smaller size shoe?

Seriously, the GT500 spoiler costs $$ and the bumper costs $$$. The whole charm of the mod is that the spoiler is so cheap that you don't mind hacking it up a bit so it will fit. I don't know if I'd feel quite that same way about cutting up my bumper cover.
