H Pipe VS X Pipe - Sound and HP
Generally Hs sound good with a chambered muffler or straight through
Xs sound great with straight through, but not that good with chambered.
Cats play a BIG part in how the sound changes.
THe stock cats will not raise the tone of the FRPP X pipe with your mufflers. They smooth the flow.
IIRC the FRPP X direct replacement was most 5hp

Don't waste your money on a Catted H, because the factory is pretty darn effecient.
I had the o/r H and loved the sound but hated the smell. Then got a pretty good deal on the bassani x I have.

I should have been more specific. What I meant was, "What is the difference in sound between and o/r H and an H with high flow cats?" I know the stock H is very efficient but I want something a bit louder than the stock mid pipe.
What do you guys think would do well with MAGNAPAKS?
