it seems like the stock mufflers are as good as any aftermarket ones as far as power increase.so would a replacement catted h pipe or x pipe make enough power increase to make them worth putting on?basically all you would be doing would be replaceing the stock converters since the pipe is already 2 1/2 .

 

From everything I have read, any hp gain is minimal with the mods you discussed. Most are making changes to get the exhaust sound they want.

 

No cats is the only real power gain.

 

As Mike said, If you're going to make a change for performance, go with the off road pipes.
