gt500 throttle body with adapter plate SUCKS!!
I have this throttle body with the frpp intake manifold and a modifies frpp CAI in order for it to fit the throttle body because it pushes the CAI out way to much..
I tried installing my new JLT 110mm CAI today and the fitment sucks with that throttle body its like a nightmare... I just spent 550 at blue oval for the chromed out throttle body because I couldn't take it anymore
Just as a warning ,even though people most likely know this already on here, this whole gt500 throttle body with the adapter plate is terrible and not one place who offered it mentioned how installing it with other mods could cause fitment issues.
Now I go to fill out another tune form from bama..

This from Metco Motorsports:
Note 1: The large opening of this throttle body requires an inlet boot that will stretch to 5". The stock Ford boot will not fit, although the inlet boots included with many aftermarket air intake kits will fit. If needed, a black silicone transition hose (5" to 4.5", 3" long) is available from us for $19.99 to adapt this throttle body to your air intake system.
Additional notes on fitment: The silicone adapter included with JLT air intake kits will fit the larger opening of the GT500 throttle body, but kits offered by C & L, Steeda, K & N, and Airaid will require the use of the 5" silicone adapter hose we offer. This throttle body kit will not work with the Whipple 2.3 supercharger.

I read about this and the kit I bought came with the coupler so I figured it was fine with my frpp cai until installing it I had to modify the cai completely because the frpp intake manifold pushes out nor then the stock so that with the adapterplate game me issues.
Its just a hassle imo its good if u have the stock manifold but im getting rid of it and I bought the 62mm frpp tb instead
At the time I bought it I was new at buying mustang parts and I should of researched more

Have several "oops" parts sitting in the garage, gotta get around to posting them for sale at some point...
Good to know about the intake, though, was thinking about doing this down the road and the FRPP TB looked pricey next to the GT500 one (2mm diameter larger costs how much more?)

to be honest I only went with the gt500 one because it was cheaper and the adapter plate in my mind acted as a spacer as well but now I don't care I rather have something that looks nice with the motor on it and fits correctly...
I am just madd because I am jumping back and forth on which bumper to buy and I also want a hood and thats where the money is going to hurt but I need to restripe the car because it is peeling on the hood so I wanna do that after I get a hood and bumper.. I am now back to the steeda bumper with the cervinis type 4 hood(although this is bs that you have to buy an air kit separate)

Just to let you know the Ford Racing Aluminium Polished Throttle body fits perfectly to stock manifold and with stock cai rubber size as I installed it with JLT 110mm CAI without any problems
