WOW!!!! Just installed the MAC all Stainless Axle Back system on my 07' GT/CS. Now this is what a Mustang should sound like! It honestly sounds like a big block. I gotta be honest I know alot of people complain about "drone" which is something I was also worried about, but I fell in love with these mufflers today. There is a resonance there, but that is to be expected. But if there is any drone at all there, It's not bugging me a bit. The only problem I have now is trying to stop from stomping on the accelerator. For $329.00 straight from MAC, it is an inbelievable muffler set-up. Also not to mention the 4 inch slach cut tips are sick with the GT/CS rear bumper. Sorry don't have a video camera, but here are some pics........

And installing them was ridiculosly easy.

Although I admit, people throw around the "big block" phrase WAY to liberally. Most people have probably never heard a 390 with 10.5:1cr, an 850 Holley, solid lifters, long tubes and Flowmasters. It's a very unique sound that's near impossible to duplicate.

 

Looks nice - are those rolled tip or dual wall....I think rolled tip -but hard to tell from your pics. Now you need to get some high heat black paint and paint the end of the muffler black - so all that shows are the tips

 

Fast, the sound these things put out is excellent. I recommend romping on it while in a tunnel or under a bridge. I love my macs.

Hotlap, they are roll tipped.

I ran a pair of MAC's on my 06'GT and the drone didn't bother me either.It wasn't bad at all.But I thought they had the weirdest sound when your slowing down.Had kind of a Euro sounding engine noise going on.They really fill up the exhaust cut-outs and the tips are really nice.

 

Congrats on the MACs!! I have them too and ever since I got em I did things to see how loud I can get em... First the O/R H-Pipe which made it deeper and louder, A Big Plus!! and now that I installed the LTs the sound is GODs GIFT to Mustangs!... When your at WOT the sound can be heard from 10 miles away..... I LOVE IT!.... Oh and about revin it in the tunnels and under bridges... Its like crack.... you keep needed your fix on it!

Hahahahahahahaha...........I agree 100%. I love the MACS, what drone???? Ever since I put them on, I find myself driving the car with the radio down a bit just so I can listen to the exhaust. Parking structures are a shat load of fun!! I don't even need to rev to set off car alarms.

I jiust wish we could install long tubes in Cali, Legally because I would do it in a heartbeat. I will be getting the JBA shortys..........shortly.

Super quality on these too, SOOOOO glad I did'nt get the Corsa's. Too wimpy for me............

 

Darn...wish i'd read this before I bought GTA's... the price is only about $50 more, which isn't bad at all for a full SS system

 

I fought my self for months trying to figure out what system I wanted, Its hard to find a system with all the right attributes, Tip style, quality, sound and price, but saw the MACS at the knott's show a few weeks ago, and was sold. I didn't even know they existed becuase MAC usually makes that "aluminized" crap..............

 

I can't believe the price for the construction quality, they look excellent. May have to bite the bullet and finally spend some loot on these.
