I did a rear disk upgrade. Found my best price through the FordParts.com site using AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake as my dealer even though I am about 1500 miles away... Give them and any local dealer you know a try. Might also try Tasca Ford as well. Not sure if they have the Ford Racing stuff on this site, mainly OEM. But if you have part numbers you might get it to work.

I believe the M-2300-S package you are talking about is the 07-09 SVT GT500 brembo front brake kit . . . if so, I think that is about the best deal for a complete kit. Check the others like American Muscle and LMR to look for the best price.

That kit includes the front calipers and rotors, front pads, rear pads, and stainless lines for front and rear. Also all of the required hardware, it is truly "plug and play." I used that kit on my car and it worked out great; cannot imagine why anyone would need more brake than that on these cars.

To upsize the rear rotors, you can just get the GT500 rotors (from wherever you get parts, Rock Auto has good prices and selection) and get caliper extension brackets from the guy on e-bay. (search and you will find)

There are some posts in the other sections on here, and on another forum, about buying the calipers and rotors separately for less money. But it is not clear if those are Chinese knock-off parts and/or remanufactured parts; and you have to make sure you get all the parts such as bolts. This could save some money; but if you like a complete kit with top quality new stuff, the kit you listed is the way to go.

Yes, I agree. I've done my homework and know what I want. If I were racing on a road course it would be a different story...I'd need to break out at least a few grand. This car only has 22k miles on it and I'm close to 130 mph at the drag strip.

Sunday morning I was on a rural road with my 2015 GT and a guy pulled out in front of me from his driveway. I was doing 65 mph and came within a few feet of t-boning his dumb dumb a$$. If I were driving the '05 I would have hit him for sure. The new car's brakes are heads and shoulders above the '05 brakes.
