Granatelli Coil Packs, any real dyno proof
You lost me. Had I posted their dyno results i would have been accused of modding them. The harley was otherwise stock. We never promised every customer would gain the same power - do not kill the messenger = por favor

Hello Granatelli
I am going to spend 300$ on the Red ones as I am N/A with several mods - so after reading that topic I can see you recommend them as optimal for N/A Mustangs.
Again I repeat my question to you about recommended spark plug gap. From my knowledge to fully utilize the advantage of higher voltage coils there have to be increased the spark plug gap. I have got the Champion ones now gapped on .050 as removed original motorcraft ones.
With your red 45000volt coils I am planning to gap them on .060
What is your opinion about that?

Oh aren't you the abused little victim. No one is asking anything of you. This thread has nothing to do with you. In fact, it was the whole point of the thread that YOU were not involved.
Why the harasment and hostility? There is no need to keep creating turmoil. It is a new year how about a new ATTITUDE
Thanks I will start .060 then.
In my opinion most of people do not understand the advantage of higher voltage. If someone are using the Autolite spark plugs which are gapped on .045 I doubt they will see any HP gains as such gap will not take the full advantage of higher voltage.
You see I changed Motorcrafts for Champions which some people say they are poor – I gapped them on .050 when they also recommend .045. The car works great I have no problems with them at all. All people that I suggest then to change for one piece spark plug design also gaped them according my recommendation on .050 and they are all happy no complains at all.
Most people are living them on .045 and some are even going down as they afraid there will be misfires at higher gap - that is a mistake which cause problems and makes false forum story about Champions that they are poor – they are very good plugs.
I honestly believe there is the same situation with your coils! People have to know how to use the higher voltage to see gains in my opinion the spark plug gap is a key here.

Well...I don't think you need to go farther then .060. With that gap you should get the best of both worlds - I think the coil should be able to fire the plug at that gap and at .060 you should have a great idle

None taken. What problems did YOU have with us. You are installing MSD coils so I assume you will need help. If I turned a blind eye and deaf ear to everyone that made vague and ambiguous statements like "i have had alot of problems with your company in the past" with out telling me how we let you down it just kills me.

I understand you guys wanting independent results but the bashing on this guy is a little uncalled for in my opinion.
in the past there was a throttle body you guys were selling wayyyy before this 62mm modified gt500 design one you have. it had no directions in it, i called for directions as far as setting the spring and again no luck with that cause i drove the car with your instructions from one of your guys and then more problems. the butterflies fell off and luckily didnt get sucked into the manifold, the throttle body didnt bolt up to the manifold flush like the peice was warped causing a nice vacuum leak.when i drove the car a few times it went into like a throttle safe mode.
i think there was something else i bought in the past that i had no luck with, im trying to remember what it was.
the throttle body thing i remember so much cause it gave me so many problems and cost me a decent little chunck of change before it finally gave way.
im not trying to bash anyone or there products so hopefully i dont come off this way but i just havent had any luck with products from granatelli.

check my previous post on the issues i have had.
on to the next subject, with the msd blaster coils they dont clarify what the output is unless i didnt look hard enough, they only say that the output is greater. i guess i would need to find out what to gap the autolite plugs at. i still have my stock plugs in with 54,000 miles on the car. its gonna be fun getting those out

listen, when i had my problem this was a lonnnnnnnnng time ago. i will probably buy from you again, times have changed and so have products. im sure tons of products have been improved on from customer reviews. as a matter of fact i might be looking to purchase your aluminum radiator and maybe your double race strut tower brace sometime in the future.
there is no hard feelings, i dont want you to feel that way. stuff like this happens, i understand. all im doing is simply telling you the issue i ran into. no hard feelings!
i dont mean to bash, im just simply letting him know of the issues i have had. i dont mean to offend and i dont want to cause hard feelings between anyone. i do have plans to buy from him in the near future, i guess im just venting. im trying not to come off as a jerk and i am very sorry if i did.

bring them all to me
Good Luck to you - If I can help, please do not hesitate to ask
