Got my JBA shorties ceramic coated locally

A pic of my JBA shorties after I got them ceramic coated. What a difference and the guy who did the work said they will shine up even more if polish them with some Mothers aluminum polish.

Not going to be easy to keep them looking that way but for now they are beautiful! You will like those shorties.

I heard that it's not worth installing shorties - unless you like the bling.

It's not. For 5 hp. Forget it. Long tubes or don't bother.

Yeah but if you use your car for travelling...i'd say go with the shorties because the long tubes will cause a lot more drone

I didn't have any problems with drone in my last GT and it had LTs. Could depend on what LTs you get.

I had Pypes with high flow cats and an x-pipe. They are designed to be the same as Kooks.

Apparently the coating is suppose to hold up well. I also drive my car only during the summer on sunny days so that should help.

If you are looking solely for performance gains, it definitely is not worth it. But for the bling and improved exhaust sound it is worth every penny! Those stock exhaust manifolds are pretty blah looking and even the original steel finish from JBA was pretty plain looking.

Good job getting those coated. The flanges on all JBA headers are carbonized steel. I have seen them rusting straight out of the box. I see you live in rainy BC. You'll need the coating.
