This guy is trying to sell a near mint coniditon "real" Saleen wheels. It's the 99-04 systel (chrome), and swares they're real. I just want to make sure he's not missinformed or blowing smoke up my a$$. Does anyone know what physically on the wheels would set the two apart?

Genuine Saleen wheels will unfold themselves into tiny robots if you bring it near the All Spark. At least, that's how I test them.

 

I believe that the real saleen wheels have "Saleen" embossed on them...I believe between the spokes (in just one spot on the wheel).

Be careful for just the logo in the center cap, as the guy could have just put original center caps on aftermarket wheels.

 

Great! That's what I wanted to know! The comment was the center caps was retarded. Anyone who wanted to con someone would put a Saleen centercap into a replica. Thanks man.

Also, I should correct myself: it's engraved, not embossed.

And, it *may* say saleen on the inside of the rim behind a spoke. I'm not sure if the 99-04's have that, but that's what the 05-up wheels have.
