Cool

I went to the local 1/8 mile track last night for some time trial runs, and to run in a bracket race later in the evening. After a couple hours of time trials, those who wanted to compete, were grouped together for the brackets. There were 17 cars entered into the bracket race. Incredible as it seems, I managed to survive all five rounds and win the First Place trophy for the Bracket Race!!

My reaction times last night (as a whole) were the best I have ever had. This track uses a 0.500 tree. For those of you who may not know, a reaction time of 0.500 seconds is perfect... 0.499 is a redlight. My RTs for the five rounds were:

0.536
0.541
0.504
0.551
0.500 (woohoo... perfect!)

And, of all the 13 runs I made total last night, my worst RT was 0.572. I also had a 0.506 and a 0.509 thrown in for good measure.

Oh yea, this track also gives a RT trophy too for all cars there that night (over 100 cars), not just for the brackets. So, in the Finals of the Bracket Race, I not only won the race to get the 1st place trophy, but the 0.500 RT in that run also got me the trophy for best RT. Two trophies on one pass! That was so cool...

You drag racers might appreciate the Bracket Round 3 numbers. I had a dial of 8.870. My RT was 0.504, and the run was 8.882, for a total package of 0.016... definitely my best package to date!!

Dam that was fun last night!!

Right on Don! I'm going to take mine to the track once the weather cools off a bit out here. I'm lucky, I have 2 1/4 miles to choose from. I'm thinking October will be a good month to get started out here.

The shaker always draws a crowd. It's amazing how many times I hear, "Is that a Mach 1?" or "Is that one of the new Cobras?"...

Fantastic Trees
My only problem is, I'm so used to 1/4 miles I was WTF over your E.T.'s even though you said 1/8 mile runs.
