Gibson shorty headers exhaust
Gibson shorty headers exhaust
hi all,
anyone have any experience with this?
looks like a good review. the shorty headers look like really good quality where they try to make each pipe equal length.
the axle back exhaust has 20% more flow than stock mustang exhaust...

First rule of thumb is ! take magazine articles with a grain of salt lol. as their really nothing more than just advertising and marketing campaigns, companies use along with paying out big $$$, just in order to get their products sponsored. I personally don't trust any of them, as I'd much rather depend on dyno sheets posted from real people on here, and other Mustang forums that aren't getting paid for posting their results. Other than for sound ? there's very little to be gained, by swapping the stock exhaust manifolds in favor of shorty headers ! the only real benefit over the stock manifolds ? would be upgrading to Long Tube headers, otherwise you're just wasting both you're time, and hard earned money..
Numerous threads here about shorty headers producing approx 3 hp compared to stock.. I personally took mine off because of this minimal gain. They are not worth it!.. Spend the $$ and get Long tubes if your going to to it
