gear tune

Do you need to re-tune with new gears. Also, what would the best gear ratio and how much will I be looking at for an install. thank's

i paid 450 for the gears plus the install with new gear oil, friction modifier, and a new bearing. i got 4.10s. great set of gears

I got a set of FRPP 4.10's and if you got the tune from doug, email him and he will mod the tune for you and send it back to you.

Yes.........Your speedo will be way off and your shift points will change.

speedo will be off so you need a tune to correct it but there is no affect on shiftpoints if you have a manual. just shift at whatever RPM you normally do. you coulddrive the car for the rest of your life without a retune if you wanted to. jsut gotta rememebr your speedo is off.

If you don't recalibrate after you swap gears you will put alot of miles on your car very quickly.

All I would need is the tuner to recalibrate right.

I believe you can do it with the SCT Xcal II. I had to send mine back to Doug since I have the Xcal 1 version.
