Gear Recommendations

Going to go to a taller gear for my hot rod now that it has a SC. I currently have 4.10s and looking for 3.73s or 3.55s. Have a choice between Motive, Ford Racing, Richmond and Pro 5.0. Any recommendations.

I don't think you can go wrong with ford racing, where are your stock gears?

If you've kept your stock gears and still have the original inner bearing and shim on the pinion and kept record of your original side gear shim position it should be an easy reinstall.

So on a related note I am thinking of buying gears for my GT, it only has 14,500KMS on it (so less than 10,000 miles), do I need to buy a bearing/install kit for it?

You do not need to buy new bearings but there is an assy kit that has a new crush sleeve and seal in it. You will need them.

Hye Cowtown....my bet is that they do not come with those parts...that you will need to buy them in addition. And I never said it before but if I were you I would go strickly with the Ford gears.
