No doubt that Don's looks awesome but I think that the Saleen 2 gauge pod is the best looking dash pod on the market and a heck of alot less work to install.

The one I saw up close was OK (and better than any other dash pods out there), but it still didn't look 100% correct to me. So I decided to hack the dash. Sooner or later, SOS will release a dash pod, and if it is anything like their pillar pod, it will be the way to go for sure.

This is my buddy's car with the Saleen pod. You can buy it direct from Saleen and they offer different gauges, but you will have to call and talk to a salesperson.

it does look really good, but it looks like you have to put holes in the dash?

Well you have to put holes in the dash with Don's setup too. Everyone always seems to be afraid to drill holes in their cars. If you are worried about resale value don't do a single mod.

I have holes all over my car and it hasn't sunk yet!

Techically, I put holes in the center vent panel, not the dash. hahah

But I agree, nothing wrong with poking a few well placed holes now and then. I kinda got over that phobia when the shaker scoop went in a couple years ago.

I would rather put holes in the center vent panel than the actual dash piece.... way less expensive to replace later down the road

Sound of Speed is working on a gauge pod for the center of the dash that matches their a-pillar pods. They are working on a drill and no drill version. It is suppose to be available in the next month or two.

Hey Don, I'm diggin' your center panel set up. Looks real nice. I have the CDC pod and it's nice, but I'd of rather had them in the dash.

The thing I question about Don's setup is the dash panel is not flat, it's curved. There has to be some amount of gap along the top and bottom of the gauge's bezels because the middle of the bezels will sit flush, but because of the curve of the panel, the tops and bottoms can't sit flush.

It may not be very noticeable, I don't know..... Don, got any pix from the side?

You guys probably already saw these pictures but I'll post them anyway. Ryan installed my gauges for me while I was on vacation. I have an IUP lite interior so I opted for a oil pressure and water temperature gauges from AutoMeter. They are the SportComp version with green lighting to match my dash color. he also installed the Cyclops/Raptor shift light where the power port is.

it is the saleen pod......

I have one too but can't decide to install it, do it Don's way, or wait on the SOS.

Sorry, no side pics. But, I can tell you, if there is a gap, it is so small you can't even notice it.
