Fuel rail how to

Im in the process of switching out my valve covers for powder coated ones. Im staring at the OEM fuel rails thinking this is an ideal time to go ahead and upgrade. Im fairly handy with a wrench, but wandering if anyone ahs some instructions on replacing these. Or are they too much to handle for Mr. Shade tree here. Thanks

I'm probably the wrong guy to answer this, as I went just 'slightly' overboard when I did mine.

There are enough fittings available to connect the new rails into the original fuel lines that solves that side of the problem. What I'm not sure about is whether or not any of them have come up with a decent crossover line or if you still have to make your own. That part of it has been sticky for a number of people, especially if you want to make it look good. I'm sure someone has to have some better info on this.

That is the Saleen Extreme CAI. I actually have one sitting in the garage that will hopefully be installed very soon!

Mr. Shade tree should have no issues, the first time it took me about an hour, I can now do it in about 15 minutes blindfolded with frequent stops. I have had mine configured 3 ways, ones with a rear crossover (which I could not find a picture of). I never liked the way it sat but I got a good deal on it as it came in a kit. Then I had a local shop do a stainless braided set up for me that I installed:

And of course, thanks to Dread and the fact I can't leave well enough alone, hard tubing AND a new set of rails I ordered through Fore and customized:

This is a good place to start, just to give you an idea: http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17473
