i tried installing my fuel pressure and boost gauges today. i purchased an NX fuel rail adapter part number 16184.

anyways, it didn't fit. there is a part that sticks down on the stock part that is offset. the adapter's hole is in the center.

does anyone have an 07 gt that has installed a fuel rail adapter? if so, could you please tell me which product you used? thank you very much. i would like to give this install another go this coming weekend.

I just installed this one Firday morning (2 days ago) with Zero problems.

It has 2 1/8" NPT ports on it, 1 is point back parallel to the fuel rail and the other is perpendicular to the fuel rail pointing to the drives side of the car. The package comes with the Adapter, 2 allen head screws with washers, 1/8" NPT plug and an O ring.

To install this I followed the Ford method of releasing the fuel pressure in the rails and everything worked out fine. Basically just pull the Fuel Pump fuse in the fuse box on the on the passenger side of the engine (F41 15amp). Start the car (if it will), let run until it dies and then try to start car for 10 seconds. Once you are done instlling fuel rail adapter put the Fuse back and turn the key to prime fuel rail, turn off key and repeat one more time, Check for leaks, then start and check for fuel leaks again.

Do Not Use telfon tape on the 1/8" NPT fittings, use Only paste sealant, I use Permatex paste thread sealant. The reason not to use the teflon tape with the fuel system is that a piece of tape could break off and become lodged in a fuel injector and thats not good .

If unit is to be installed on a high vibration application such as a full race engine or engine capable of high RPM, it is strongly recommended that the sender be remote mounted to either the fender well or firewall, to insulate from vibration. Failure to remote-locate pressure senders on such an application could result in sender failure and potential damage to vehicle and /or operator injury. Braided stainless steel lines are sold separately by Auto Meter and can be used to accomplish this...

thanks 07foose. that metco one you linked to was the exact one i ordered from lethal performance. they forgot to send it with the rest of my shipment, so i ended up cancelling it and ordering the NX one from summit.

yeah, i don't know if it is necessary, but i bought the braided stainless steel hose to remote mount the fuel pressure sensor. i figure better to be safe than sorry.

Here is a pic of the adapter installed with the fuel pressure sensor. I "painted" it black with Aluma-Hyde II from Brownells http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...UMA-HYDE~%20II

Its an epoxy type "paint", I have used this stuff for years on gun mags and anything that would see harsh chemicals. Its very durable once cured. It takes 7, yes Seven, days to cure and then its very chemical resistant as well as abrasive resistant.

well, the metco part came in today. strange that it has the same part number as yours 07foose, but mine looks stubbier, has a different plug, and it is black.

anyways, just looking at it, i am pretty sure it will work. here is a side-by-side pic with the metco on the left and the nx on the right. on the nx, i guess it is a locating pin that was banging against the rim of the adapter... the hole was too small. looks like it will fit the metco. gonna give it a try tomorrow. thanks again.

Do any of these work with the Whiple or KB supercharger.

not sure, but i don't think so. my friend has a whipple. iirc, it was pretty tight on that side. the adapter wouldn't have fit. they ended up tapping the line on the passenger's side somehow. i didn't take a good look.
