Fuel Filter Brand Suggestion

Are there any fuel filters from Advance, Autozone, etc that are just as good as the Ford one? Just wondering since its time to change mine again. Lot easier to buy it where I get my Mobil1 then have to order or hope that the Ford dealer has one.

Thanks.

I would stick with the Motorcraft Filter, How often do you need to change it?

I think every 30k is good. But I will do mine once a year. Already did once.

Those stores may carry Motorcraft filters, take a look.

FG1083 expect to pay 9.00-18.00 bucks

Recommended change interval is 10k. I suggest Motorcraft, WIX, Hastings in no particular order.

got a local repair shop? got a local dealer?
Call the dealer, say your the repair shops name, and you need a fuel filter for your application and youll send your driver to pick it up. Go pick it up, sign for it, free filter!!

Ive never done this, but it seems like it would work as long as the local shop has an account, which most do.

It would not work because almost all repair shops are cash/check only. No Charge accounts.

By the way here a little thread you might like wehn it comes to fuel filter replacment intervals.

We have charge accounts at nearly every dealer within a 25 mile radius.
