Well it seems I have been getting around 250 miles a tank, doing mostly city driving. Just drove down to the lake of the ozarks this weekend, and got a little more than 350 miles for the tank. What are most averages for highway driving. I am wondering if this has to do with my new bassani exhaust etc. Or if this is about average, since this is my first trip with the stang. Thanks for all that reply!

so your saying your normal city tank is 300, and highway is 390? Sounds a little high if you dont baby it. But thanks for your info. I am interested in tank averages, not necessarily mpg, those dont really tell me much as they go up and down. What is everyones average tanks, city vs. highway. Thanks again for any input.

200 city(14mpg avg), and 280 highway (20mpg avg running 80 mph avg), the best I can get is 29mpg at a steady 55mph, but I can't do that for long.

BTW, what is the capacity of the gas tank? I took mine down to 20 miles to go before empty according the message center, and could barely fit 14 gallons in there, so I would assume it's a 15 gallon tank(or tanks since they are saddle bags).

I'm averaging around 16.7 City and 21.3 highway. When I fill the tank the computer says 318 Miles till empty everytime.

I live in Denver so the air is a little thinner up here.

I get on her quite a bit also. Doesn't seem to change much. 2000 miles on the odo

I probably average 95% highway driving - after 13K+ miles I'm averaging 26-28 mpg, but have seen it go over 30mpg several times. (Cruise usually stays locked on 70, but I usually accelerate to 90 when passing on these country roads.). It usually drops to about 23-24 in the city.

Im getting 17.7 according to the computer, I haven't reset it so thats average over 2000 miles, started at abou 14 when I had 2 miles on it and going up gradually ever since. Whenever I fill up I have about 299 or around til empty. Pretty much all city miles with varying driving style due to traffic most times I can't hit it hard. After 2000 miles my average speed has only been 25mph, gotta love the toll way and Chicago area traffic.

16 gallon tank it's in the owner's manual.

ford's message center tells you that you're empty when you have two gallon's left i think it's a safety feature so less people run out of gas

After my 2nd fill up, I've been around 250 miles in mostly city traffic.

Haven't had her long enough for serious highway driving, yet.

I drive her hard pretty much all the time. Not racing or anything, but accelerate quickly quite often. Doing that I get b/w 12-13 mpg entirely in the city. I drive on a highway maybe once every two weeks. In the last couple of days, I have babied her to see what she could do, and I get b/w 17-18 mpg in the city. The one time I have really driven on the highway, I got 26 I think.

Pish Posh...i got ya beat. I pulled a "Kramer" and took that car down to 1 mile to go before I could find a gas station. Yeah, I was sweating bullets.

Usually I have 280 miles on it when I fill up. Takes 14 - 14.5 gallons. That is almost entirely city driving.

Just took a 200 mile trip this past weekend almost all highway and gas gauge was at half (message center said 7.8 gallons used).

But I have the V6 so that might not be much help to you.

I get a little over 18 with mixed driving between the office and home.

On the interstate I average 22 to 23 mpg

The big question is, how many gallons did it take to fill her up.
