What's been going on with the FRPP's supercharger? When will we see information?

I called Whipple on Friday and inquired about the supercharger for my automatic and they told me they are waiting for Ford to provide them with the right tunes for the autos. Whipple told me they have ton's of superchargers ready to ship out, but no tunes from ford. The Whipple rep then said those famous words we keep hearing "two more weeks" That was his response when I asked how much longer.

Hey Rob, do you have a Whipple on order? I do through Lethal Performance, They actually have one in stock and offerd it to me but I would have had to send in my PCM into them because they were still waiting on the flash tuner from Ford and I have a manual trans I decided to wait for the tuner so as to keep my stock tune on hand.

I haven't ordered one yet......Whipple tried to get me to place an order with them and put some money down, but I'm still trying to decide if I wanna go w/ whipple or Roush.........KB is still in the picture too, but I will most likely go the Whipple route because its less $$$$$$ than the Roush and Ford will still honor the warranty.

I think that Ford honoring the warranty is still not 100% but if it is , it will most likely be nonintercooled with a low boost like the Roush to keep it safe.

I talked to my service manager and he said they would honor it if they installed it. I was looking at a nonintercooled anyway because I have read that an intercooled s/c would bee a little too much for the autos. Have you heard anything about that?

I call BS on that one... there are dozens and dozens of guys running I/C blowers on auto trans cars, with zero issues. Seems to me that the heat from a non-I/C unit would be worse, not better.

I wasn't sure whether to call BS or not because I am still too new to all of this, but I called Whpple again to inquire about the tune from Ford. I asked them about an intercooled unit for my 06 auto. and the tech guy said they won't even sell an 05-07 intercooled unit to anyone with an auto. He said the auto. transmission won't stand up to it. Don't shread me to pieces now...............I'm just repeating what I was told from the horses mouth. Several other people have told me this is BS, Including a local tuner that I trust, but the fact that it is coming from Whipple has me concerned.

That's weird. I thought the autos were stronger than the manuals.
