frpp stingers vibrate/shake a little?? WTF

I am no mechanic by any means, I mean I changed my oil for the first time this past sunday and am still hopeing I did it correctly, but back to the subject. I started the car to get the oil flowing into the filter and let it run for a few minutes and went behind the car to listen for a minute or two, and notice the tips are vibrating and or shaking a bit. I looked under the car and all seems to be fine. no leaks that I am aware if and all the hangers seem to be in the rubber isolaters, maybe I need to get under the car and try to push the hangers on the axlebacks a little further in the isolaters. that is the only thing I can figure that would help the situation. I just wante dto post on here if the shaking /vibrating is a common occurance or what.

thanks

Get Some Digital Pics of the Rear ExhaustMounts up Close and I can Probably Tell you if it is an Install Issue.

That's what I'm thinking. And if they are tight, but the exhaust is still loose, I'm guessing it's a preload issue.

I believe there was an issue with some of the borla/FRPP mufflers where one of the exhaust hangers actually made contact with the chassis as it was pushed through the isolators.

I'd check for that

well, I checked yesterday afternoon, and the passenger dise was a little loose, gave it a few more tuns on the bolt and the vibration isn't completely gone but almost. But I could just be paranoid that it was doing it earlier. But I believe that I got it fixed,,,, thanks for any or all suggestions

This is what Steve's referring to.

I had adjust mine Bill after I installed the X. I took it for a ride and sure enough I was getting a rattle. That was it, the hanger was to close and rubbing here and there. reset and it's perfect.

Have had the Stingers for a number of months without this problem. Only a guess but maybe somewhere along the exhaust lines something is touching

I didn't have this problem but noticed that these things really like to be tightened when I went to adjust the length of one side a couple weeks ago.

The adjustment was easy and when I'd decided that the tips of both FRP Stingers were even with the bumper cutouts, I tightened 'em both back up. Then went to check the play in them (making sure Galaxie's issue as posted above wouldn't be an issue). One side was vibrating and shaking and the hanger wasn't coming into contact with any part of the frame.

So back under the car, a quick re-adjust of the clamps and then some gut wrenching tightening......voila....all fixed.

I have noticed this also. After I put my X in and went to straighten the Stingers, I noticed the passenger side muffler had worked it's way loose by alot. I was makiing a video on drone the day before the install to and even commented in it that my drone seemed louder then what I had thought and maybe I had a pipe loose ot something. I figured maybe it just sounded louder because I was paying attention and not driving around it.
