FRPP Lowering Spring Questions

Just had my mechanic install my FRRP lowering springs. I noticed that the serial number for one (or maybe both springs; haven't found the other # yet) is upside down. Is this a problem? He also didn't take the small sleeve glued to the top of the stock spring top coil off and replace it on the FRRP's. I was wondering if this might be a problem, because when on bumpy roads I'm hearing a slight clunking sound from the rear suspension. I also had a steeda adjustable panhard bar and brace installed. I know this controls the position of the live axle, but it does move up and down a bit with the suspension. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the rubber sleeve that's glued to the bottom of the spring coil in the rears? If you are then yeah, it's a problem. The rubber sleeve is to insolate the two metals from rubbing together. That's probably where you're getting the clunking noise from.

Thanks!

Thanks for the input. My pops said the same thing. I wonder if I'll be able to compress the spring enough to put the sleeve on without taking it out. We'll see.

I seriously doubt you'll get the rubber isolater on the spring without pulling the spring back out. Good luck!
