Question FRPP Handling Pack Question?

In my never ending quest to spend money on my car I was wondering if anyone has put the Ford Racing handling package on their car that has a aftermarket front spoiler? I have the CDC classic and a pretty steep incline from the street to my garage. I also live in a community where they feel that they need to put speed bumps in every residential area. Any issues with clearance or would the spoiler have to come off?

Also if I go with the Ford Racing package will I have to get camber plates and a rear panhard bar? I really don't want to go down that road. The only racing I will do with the car is an occasional road course romp. I do live in an area where they are lots of twisties to drive on so I can see the benefit of a better suspension package.

I read some place else that you should be OK with the classic chin spoiler but the aggressive one might have a problem. I put the FRPP Handling kit on my 07 and am waiting for the paint work on the classic chin spoiler to get done so we can install it. I did not need camber plates, the alignment shop had no problem making a few minor adjustments after the installation. I put on a FAYS2 Watts Link instead of a panhard bar. It works GREAT!

i have the FRPP pack and the CDC classic chin spoiler. although the CDC classic looks lower than the stock bumper., it is not. it is the same height as stock. i clear the speed bumps and other obsticales with no issue with both installed.

A Watts Link replaces the panhard bar. The panhard connects to one side of the chassis and the other side of the differential and controls the rear on an arc. The Watts Link connects to both sides of the differential and to the chassis in the middle through a propeller that controls the rear travel straight up and down instead of on an arc.

This makes the rear end much more stable in both cornering and straight drag launches. Check them out at www.fays2.net. If you have any questions, call them directly. I met Jim Fay at Carlisle All Ford Nationals, he is very nice and took time to explain them in detail to me.

You can add a Watts Link at any time. It replaces the panhard bar.

With the FRPP kit, and 18" wheels, the car has about 4" ground clearance at the lowest point (Just behind front wheels).

I make it over most speedbumps OK but I have to do about 5mph over the short ones and 15mph over the long ones.

Car scrapes sometimes on the underbody when transitioning over steep inclines to flat surfaces. (no noticeable damage upon visual inspection).

As far as the front spoiler is concerned, it will be an issue with parking blocks and curbs. I don't have one, but right now the center (raised) section of the front fascia just BARELY clears parking blocks and *most* curbs. You'll have to take care to park back a bit from these.
