FRPP Exhaust (VERY IMPRESSED!)
#3
Sounds great. Actually not as loud as people make it out to be (at least at start up and free rev). I just need to make sure I can start it up in the mornings without waking the house and rest of the neighborhood.

They are loud. I think I should have taken the car out of the garage and put mike right under the car. I must of had it at least 8 to 10 ft. away. Taking it on the road, I could really hear the difference when I stomped on it. When I was just crusing around 2k RPM, it sounded nearly normal.
BTW - I felt no power loss at all. Didn't unplug the battery either

Here's a before and after VIDEO I took today. I'm very pleased with the results.
Who said they sounded like rice? Get your hearing checked!

Yeah the garage is tight...that's why I workout to remain slim, otherwise, I'd have to always park my baby outside ...and yes I'm looking for a house with a bigger garage

Maybe it's just this video, but the stock start up sounds a little louder. The FRPP revs are clearly louder, though.

 Stock start up louder than the FRPP?

I Have No Life
One thing a video camera will never portray is sound correctly...
Stock on video, sounds loud...when in person...they aren't.
Tone Quality is good...volume is about a 4-5
Borla/FRPP on video, loses the bass rumble...when in person..they are burbly...
Tone quality is phenominal and volume is about 6-10 depending on how you rev it.
Put load on it and MAN they sound louder/awsome...

I have to say it, sorry. I still think they are quieter that the SLP PowerFlos, and not even in the same ballpark as the SLP Loudmouths (even from 30 to 40 feet away!!). Just my opinion (and yes, I have heard all three in person).

I have to say it
I have to say it
Since we're putting down systems, I guess I may as well take this opportunity to say that I think the Borlas sound BETTER than the SLPs IMO <jab>

I have to make a real good video sometime because these videos don't give you any indication of how loud they are.
When pete and I met up, I had my stockers and pete had the Borla.
Let me tell you, the stock mufflers aren't anywhere in the same ballpark as the Borla as far as loudness or deepness.
Anyone who thinks they are close is COMPLETELY wrong. I have never heard the FFRP's but I CAN say this about the mufflers from BORLA (also, I am referring to the S-Type - loud version)

LOL... I never would have guessed.

Really? No offense, but from the SLP Loudmouth clip from 2005 Exhaust Thread sticky sounds nearly identical to the FRPP/Borla's to me.

What about the SLP LM clip right above your post?
Like I said, I have heard all three in person. To each his own, I suppose. Everyone has their preferences, which is the way it should be. All of these multiple threads on exhaust clips are unlikey to change the minds of 98% of us anyway. As for me, I'll stick with my $150 LMs, and gracefully bow out of your FRPP thread.
