i was just sitting and thinking of ways to cut back on static weight for cheap and thought that maybe running two spare tires up front instead of normal wheels might be good for knocking 30lbs or so off of the front end of the car...?
I know it would look ghetto, but if the stock rims in back have 275 Mickey Thompsons on them it might pull it off

I don't think I would want to go 100+ mph with two of those things up front. And since they say "SPARE" on them, what would your local track tech guys say??

good points...again it was just a random thought. they are recommended up to 65mph, tho i have gone over 100 on one before (not a good idea i guess). the tech guys would probly say no, you are right.

Needs to be more Astony
I have seen cars using the spares as skinnies before...i'm not sure if its allowed or they had put different tires on the rims... but i have seen it done before.

our spare tire rims are 17x4 and hoosier makes a skinny tire to fit that. they are about 130-150 each though so that kind of takes the cheap part out. otherwise i would have tried it before i got the bogarts. i guess its still cheaper than buying the welds or bogarts and tires. polish them and get some centercaps that cover the lugs and it'll look okay.
